A dental extraction is performed for a wide range of reasons. Advanced decay is the more common issue, but there are other potential reasons, including wisdom teeth that are too big for the mouth to contain or a patient has contracted periodontal disease.
An X-ray will be taken in order to help plan the best possible way to remove the tooth, should an extraction be necessary. Our dentists will examine the tooth, explain the reasons why it extraction is necessary and then proceed with the process.
